ARMS is an arena fighting game developed by Nintendo EPD exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. In the game, players use their extendable arms to attempt to knockout their opponent. The game released on June 16, 2017.

Controls[]
Joy-Con controllers are used for gameplay. The player holds one in each hand and tilts in a direction to move the character. Thrust a controller forward to punch. Thrust both together for a grab. L performs a dash and R does a jump. ZL or ZR starts a Flurry Attack by repeatedly punching the opposing player.
Arms[]
Each character has three Arms available and they can be changed out between rounds. Players can used different Arms for each arm if they want. They do not have to be the same. Additional Arms will need to be unlocked using the in-game currency. Each Arm has it's own abilities and stats, as does each character. Some Arms are slow but do more damage where others may be fast but only used to set up combo punches.
Gameplay[]
The goal of Arms is to reduce the opposing player to 0 health. Players will face off in the arena. Once the battle begins, they will start 'boxing'. The range of the Arms means the players do not have to be close to eachother to do damage. Hitting the opponents body will result in higher damage than hitting the Arms, however the Arms can be stunned briefly, stopping an attack. This may also create an opening for a second attack. Some Arms even have a specific stun ability.
There are multiple arenas, some with unique obstacles. Throw punches around (or through) crazy items, or toss opponents onto a trampoline for air battles. Power up punches to do extra damage. Punches can be redirected mid-flight to hit fast moving agile opponents. Use dash and blocks to quickly avoid attacks.
